JOB SUMMARY

Join our team as a SAP / BTP Development Specialist , where you’ll design smart SAP and BTP solutions that strengthen our custom applications and power key business processes across Nyrstar.

In this role you will:

Develop, maintain, and enhance Nyrstar’s key SAP and BTP applications, including Metal Accounting, Exposure Management, and F&A Pricing.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system reliability and continuous operations.
Modernize and optimize custom code in line with SAP best practices and Nyrstar’s digital roadmap.
Build strong technical and functional expertise across core business processes and act as an internal subject matter expert.
Translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions and guide offshore development partners.
Lead and contribute to system upgrades, integrations, and SAP BTP / S4HANA transformation projects.
Create and maintain technical documentation, sharing knowledge to strengthen internal capabilities and continuity.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS

Bachelors / masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or relevant field.
SAP ABAP certified.
SAP BTP, BW certified preferrable.
3–5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
Prior exposure to custom SAP ABAP development in finance, logistics and/or commercial processes.
Experience with the SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) components (integration, process automation, UX and Mobile Apps, GenAI) is a plus.
Experience supporting mission?critical systems and processes in a manufacturing or commodity-driven environment is a plus.
Knowledge of SAP integration technologies (OData, APIs, IDocs, RFCs).
Strong foundation in SAP technologies, ideally with exposure to finance-, commercial, or production-related modules.
Experience with SAPUI5/Fiori is an advantage.
Proficiency in English is essential, Dutch, French or German is a big plus.
